Peoria's 1st African American on network television 2006(UPN Ch. 59)Peoria Hoops (Tues.3:30-5:30p.m.), Peoria Teen Summit (Sun. 9:30-10:00 p.m.)have been on Insight cable channel 22 for the past 4 years(Aug. 2005 Krime & JustUs in da "P" premiered). We have had many Hip Hop stars on Teen Summit, such as Do or Die, Scarface, Chingy, Petey Pablo and Bizzy Bone just to name a few. On Peoria Hoops we have had many youth, male and female from our community in our summer leagues as well as doing the high school regular season and playoffs. Frank Williams (formerly of the Chicago Bulls), Jamar Smith (Illinois 2006-07) DeAaron Williams (Illinois Central College 2006-07), Eric Jackson (Indiana Univ. South Bend 2006-07), Rodney Edgerson (Washinghton 2006-07)Shawn Livingston (Los Angeles Clippers), also Shawn's NBA teammates and last but not least Los Angeles Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy. I believe we can use basketball and the arts to infulence our youth to accomplish their dream. I also believe that once a person finds that creative person inside the sky is not the limit but the heavens are the goal. MY PURPOSE. MY DREAM. MY PASSION. This is what every show must be about.
